Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site is a reconstruction of an adobe fur trading post that operated near present-day La Junta, Colorado from 1833 to 1846. Built by brothers Charles and William Bent and their business partner Ceran St. Vrain, the fort figured prominently in the western expansion of the United States.
